My client moved into a new premises in January.
Despite numerous meetings with the old occupier about retaining the phone system and internet so as not to lose business continuity, we moved in and discovered at lunchtime that a cease request had been put in – Boo!
We managed to take over the broadband but the phones were a no go.
The next day we had a VoIP system configured, in place and working – Yay!
The old NEC PBX had six extensions but obviously we couldn’t use them as part of a VoIP solution owing to them being traditional analogue devices.
Keen to keep initial costs down, we procured refurbished Yealink handsets with a 12 month warranty and, although the VoIP solution implemented is primarily a desktop based system, the client was more comfortable having a handset on each desk.
The system was configured and handsets deployed as soon as they arrived the next day.
